Felling of a large Lime tree, work carried out in the tree by Matt Godwin. The site below this tree was very restricted so the use of a specialised lowering kit was required. This client had some small children so we then carved them an arm chair out of the remaining trunk.

Small reduction of a Beech, work carried out in the tree by Matt Godwin. The reduction was done with the use of a hand pruning saw, as due to the young age of the tree a chainsaw would have caused too much damage.

Large Eucalyptus Reductions (Pollard), work carried out by Matt Godwin and Matt Boyd-Wallis. The work for this client required the use of a specialist lowering kit. The restricted area below meant we had limited room to move, however the kit allows us to remove large pieces safely.

A wind blown Silver Birch and its close neighbouring tree had to be felled due to ground disruption, and the fact that they were growing as a pair. The work was carried out by Oli Godfrey. To fell the rest of the wind blown tree, Oli required an anchor point in a strong tree for his own safety. To section down the remaining trunk of the standing tree, Oli also needed to use climbing spikes, as shown in a picture below.

A reduction of a small Maple, work carried out by Dan Morgan. This was a brilliant tree for Dan, a future climb to learn how to do a reduction using a hand pruning saw. He was guided through the work by Matt Godwin an experienced climber. Dan will soon be going on a climbing with a chainsaw course so that he can progress further in becoming a tree surgeon.

This is a large Beech which is in decline but due to a tree preservation order it's life must be prolonged. Oli Godfrey had to remove all the dead wood from the crown which included one main limb. The tree is dying due to canker which is a wound invading disease.
